![]() It’s interesting even though it is based on a cliché: a selfish rich kid with father’s issues, minister’s angelic daughter who takes care of orphans. … and the air smelled of pine, salt, and sea, a scent unique to the Carolinas. People waved from their cars whenever they saw someone on the street whether they knew him or not… North Carolina little town in 1958 sounds like my Montenegro in modern days. The style is great and perfectly conveys the voice of a teenager. I suppose, those have been around even before Shakespeare times. Surprisingly, I ended up disliking the book for other reasons. ![]() ![]() The cover alone should have been enough to let me know that this is not the type of book I would enjoy because I don’t like romantic stories. Of course, I should have never picked up this book. ![]()
